NEW – Online Registration for CHISD
Beginning in the summer of 2023, CHISD will begin using an online system for new student enrollment, returning student registration & student data maintenance. We will no longer send home first week packets. Parents will complete paperwork online. All CH families will be required to have an Ascender Parent Portal account. This district level parent account will allow parents to access multiple students with a single sign on. If you have questions, please reach out to the campus office.

Ascender is a web-based parent portal application that provides parents and guardians access to current student-related information including attendance, assignments, grades, and discipline. The application also supports a district-level parent account for accessing multiple students with a single login. Parents can subscribe to customizable attendance and grade-related alerts for each student. CHISD has a special website that parents should bookmark for later access. Parents must first create an account and they must request a unique ID code from CHISD in order to add students to the parent account. Look at the document below to step by step instructions.
What is Ascender Student Portal?
We are now offering a Student Portal, very similar to Parent Portal, but it is a way for students to log in to their own account, check assignments, grades and attendance. Students will ONLY be able to access their information, not siblings info. CHISD has a unique website that students should bookmark for later access, this is different than the Parent Login page. Students must first create an account, but do not require the unique ID that parents are required to obtain.
To get started, click on the ‘Student Portal’ tab at the top right of this page and create an account. Follow the prompts.
Once you have setup the Parent Portal Account, parents will need to request a unique ID for each enroll student. See step #3 below in handout.
