Principal Appreciation Month
October has been designated as Principal Appreciation Month across the state of Texas.  I ask teachers, students, parents and community members to join me in extending "A Big Thank You" to our Central Heights Principals. Their dedication and commitment to Central Heights ISD does not go unnoticed and we truly appreciate all that they do on a daily basis.

Welcome to Central Heights ISD

It is my privilege to welcome you to the Central Heights Independent School District.  Our vision is to provide a safe learning environment for all of our students and develop well- educated leaders of character who are prepared for the global leadership challenges of the future.  Our focus continues to be on increasing educational opportunities for our students and providing staff with professional development opportunities based on the very best instructional practices.

School districts in Texas are tasked with so many duties, but we also want to place strong emphasis on the following three  R’s.

 Resourcefulness, Respect and Responsibility.

If you are a student, parent or community member, we thank you for supporting our school and hope to see you around at our many events. If there is anything we can do to make your visit a better experience, please let us know.

David Russell
Superintendent, Central Heights ISD
